The problem

Meridians mobile banking product had grown feature by feature, leaving customers to piece together balances, recurring payments, and long-term goals across disconnected surfaces.

Research showed that customers trusted Meridian with their money but not with the clarity of their own financial picture. The home screen prioritized transactions over context, while important actions were buried behind account-specific menus and inconsistent terminology.

The solution

We rebuilt the experience around a single financial overview, using clear hierarchy, progressive disclosure, and small moments of reassurance to make everyday banking feel more considered.

The new system grouped activity around intent rather than account type, introduced a more transparent payment timeline, and gave savings goals a visible sense of momentum. Every interaction was tested against the same question: can someone understand what changed and what to do next?
