The problem

Cedar & Stones portfolio was full of careful material studies, but the old site presented them as a sequence of disconnected project thumbnails.

The studio’s work is defined by proportion, texture, and restraint. Online, those qualities were diluted by inconsistent image crops, shallow project summaries, and a navigation system that made the archive feel larger but less meaningful.

The solution

We built a quieter framework that lets material, detail, and sequence carry the identity without adding visual noise around the work.

A flexible project system paired generous imagery with concise context, while the navigation was reduced to the few decisions visitors actually needed to make. Each page now feels like a room in the same house: distinct in character, consistent in craft.
